James R Hansen, DMD
Dr. Hansen has dedicated his career to building a dental practice that goes beyond expectations, offering trusted, personalized care in an environment where every patient feels valued. His philosophy is simple: from the moment you walk through the door until the moment you leave, his goal is for you to feel like family—cared for with the same attention, compassion, and respect he would give his own loved ones.
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University, Dr. Hansen received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health Sciences University. Since then, he has remained committed to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry, regularly completing continuing education courses in the latest advancements and techniques, including adhesive and esthetic dentistry. By continually expanding his knowledge, he ensures that his patients receive the very best care dentistry has to offer. Patient comfort and satisfaction are always Dr. Hansen’s top priorities. He takes pride in creating an experience where patients feel at ease, understood, and confident in their care. Together with his highly trained staff, he looks forward to helping each patient discover how exceptional dental care can improve both oral health and overall quality of life.
Outside of his second home, Dr. Hansen’s greatest joy is his large and loving family. He and his beautiful wife, Stef, are proud parents of five children and part of a family of 18, which continues to grow with the addition of six grandchildren—and counting. When he’s not spending time with family, you’ll often find him bass fishing, enjoying the peace of the water wherever the river takes him.
Dr. Nate Bushman
Dr. Bushman is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. He is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care with a focus on restoring both the appearance and function of your smile. Believing that prevention is the key to long-term oral health, he takes time to educate patients on healthy habits that support both dental and overall wellness. His goal is to make every visit as comfortable, positive, and stress-free as possible, and he is happy to welcome patients of all ages. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Bushman attended Brigham Young University before earning his dental degree from the University of Washington. Throughout his career, he has been deeply committed to serving others, including spending much of his time caring for underprivileged communities. He is always seeking opportunities to learn, grow, and refine his skills so he can provide the highest standard of care for you and your family.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Bushman’s greatest joys are his family and faith. He and his wife are the proud parents of four daughters and one son.

Lizette is a registered dental assistant who recently moved from California. With two years of experience, she’s learned that dental assisting is 20% clinical skill and 80% heart it’s about ensuring every patient leaves feeling better, cared for, and more confident than when they arrived. She is dedicated to excellence in dental care and passionate about helping patients transform both their smiles and their confidence.
When she steps away from patient care, Lizette is always seeking her next adventure. She enjoys stepping out of her comfort zone to explore new activities, flavors, and places, bringing that same open-minded and growth-focused approach into her work with patients every day.

Melissa is a bilingual professional and a vital member of our insurance administrative team, bringing a strong background in the insurance industry and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Since beginning her career in 2023, she has built a solid foundation in policy administration, claims processing, and client relations, allowing her to effectively support a diverse range of patients and ensure they feel informed and understood. She is known for her ability to streamline workflows, and enhance the overall patient experience. Outside of the world claims and codes, she enjoys getting lost in a good book and is committed to ongoing personal and professional growth.

Cindy has been a dental assistant for over 10 years and brings experience, warmth, and compassion to every patient she cares for. She loves helping patients feel comfortable during their dental procedures and finds joy in seeing their smiles grow healthier and brighter over time. Her gentle, caring approach helps create a positive and reassuring experience for everyone she meets.

Sayra is a bilingual Registered Dental Hygienist . She quickly fell in love with the compassionate side of dentistry, and is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all patients. She strives to help and support each individual achieve a healthy smile that will last a lifetime.
When she is away from the suction and scaler, she enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new areas and trying new foods. She also cherishes making new memories with her family, boyfriend, and beloved pets.

Julie is a dedicated and compassionate dental hygienist who proudly graduated from Columbia Basin College. She is deeply committed to providing exceptional care and strives to create a welcoming environment where every patient feels comfortable, respected, and truly valued.
When she is not helping create smiles in the office, Julie enjoys staying active and embracing new adventures. She loves exploring new places, and making meaningful memories. Most importantly, she cherishes spending quality time with her family, fiancé, and friends, always finding joy in the moments that matter most.
Tajia
Administrative Assistant
Tajia is an administrative assistant, registered dental assistant, and social media coordinator who brings energy, compassion, and creativity to every role she fills. Originally from the coast of North Carolina, she returned to Washington State to continue her education and is dedicated to making every patient feel welcomed and cared for.
She takes pride in giving her full heart to everything she does, whether assisting patients in the office or helping share the practice’s story online.
Tajia enjoys exploring the PNW with her dog, spending time with family and friends, and pursuing her passions for creative writing, photography, and staying current with new trends.
Mitch
Dental Hygienist
A Native to the Tri-Cities, Mitch graduated from Columbia Basin College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She was also the sole recipient from her class to receive the “Golden Syringe” award for her gentle touch with the administration of local anesthetics. Mitch is proud to provide patient focused care and education with the same compassion she gives her own family!
Mitch enjoys spending her free time with her family and dogs. She enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, fishing, spending evenings around the fire-pit, and weekend trips to visit friends. Going out to enjoy comedy and music are among other things.
Beth
Office Manager/RDA
Beth is our office manager and a registered dental assistant who has been a valued part of Hansen Family Dental since 2007. Her passion for dentistry and genuine commitment to patient care shine through in everything she does. Known for her compassion and kindness, Beth has a natural way of helping patients feel comfortable and welcomed, always greeting everyone with a warm smile.
Beth is married to her wonderful husband, Dennis, and the proud mother of two beautiful children, Savannah and Jason. She loves spending time with her family, especially camping, boating, and fishing. When she’s not at the office, you’ll often find her on the water or working alongside her husband at their shop, D’s Fishin’ Spot.
Ariana
Hygienist
Ariana is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from PIMA Medical Institute in Seattle. She has more than 10+ years of experience in the dental field, which started with her as an assistant and progressed into dental hygiene. She is always focused on providing ethical, high-quality care with compassion at the forefront. Ariana takes pride in creating a comfortable and positive experience with her patients, especially with persons who experience dental anxiety.
Ariana is married, has a dog named Logan and is expecting her first child. In her free time, she loves to travel (especially to Disneyworld), read, bake and camping with family.
Andrea

Andrea has been in the dental assisting field for 10 years. Andrea loves assisting and being a good support for the team. She has a comforting demeanor and ensures dental procedures run smoothly.
Outside of the dental world, Andrea is a mother of two Irish twins and has an amazing husband. Andrea prioritized on making long term memories with her family and values the time spend together.

Jasmine is a seasoned hygienist with more than 10 years of experience. Jasmine is a seasoned hygienist. She has found that her passion is patient education. To give little nuggets of helpful knowledge that is curated to each patient’s needs. Because she understands everyone has their own journey, her approach is gentle and respectful. She’s also bilingual in English and Spanish!
When she’s not having fun cleaning teeth, she’s spending her time with her husband and three kids, and on her own time you can find her reading. She also loves to sew, usually something for her kiddos. She also enjoys cooking and just a bit of everything, so when you sit in her chair, most likely you’ll find something to talk about!
